Gold Nanoparticles in Biosensing
Angebote / Angebote:
In analytical chemistry, nano structures can prove advantageous in-terms of sensitivity, owing to their large surface area and catalytic properties. These properties can be tuned also to make them beneficial in biosensing. Among various nanostructures, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are one of finest nanoplatforms in developing analytical methods for biosensing, owing to their biocompatibility and stability. However, aggregation is a major drawback of nanoparticles (NPs). Synthesizing polymer-NPs hybrid, the problem of aggregation can be tackled and such composite or hybrid possess properties blend of two counter parts. The work presented in the work also deals with the synthesis of AuNPs and polymer composites and their application in biosensing. Polymers like polypyrrole (PPy), prussian blue (PB), polythiophene (Pth) and sol have been used in composite formations. For biosensing application, these composites of AuNPs have been used as matrix for enzymes like tyrosinase, laccase and hydrogen peroxide as well as catalysts. The composite supported biosensors showed enhanced sensitivity, high signal output, fast response and greater shell life.
