Author and illustrator Sharon Ann Burton, recently retired, taught Special Education in the Saratoga Springs City School District for thirty years. She resides with her husband in upstate New York during the summer months and southern Arizona in the winter. Children are an inspiration for her books. They love all the small, wonderful things that life has to offer. Besides raising her own child, teaching has also given her insight into the juvenile
perspective. In addition, becoming a grandparent has opened the door even
further as to how children view their environment. As an artist and as an author
and illustrator of children's books, she hopes to continue to learn through observation and interaction with her own grandchild. Childhood insights acquired will be used as reference material for future children's books covering concepts such as careers, respect, family and self esteem. Net
proceeds of all book sales are donated by the author to aid organizations that help women and children in need.
