Excerpt from Guy's Hospital Reports, Vol. 36 Fig. 1. - A photograph taken some three months after admission into hospital shows the prominence on the left side of the face, but not the mass which existed on the right side. Figs. 2 and 3 were obtained at the same sitting after a portion of the growth had been removed by operation. In fig. 2 the cicatrix can be faintly seen below the ear, whilst the mass infiltrating the skin of the right cheek is very manifest. Figs. 3 and 4, obtained one month before death, show the extreme emaciation. In fig. 4: the newly-formed growth in the neck is very marked, the nodule in the middle line behind faintly so. The disappearance of the mass in the right cheek is striking. In fig. 5 the nodule on the left side of the nose is well shown, in addition to 'the disappearance of the mass from the right cheek.
