He Calls Me Harp

Angebote / Angebote:

At fourteen-years old, Harper Whitmore entered high school an unassuming five feet tall. What she lacked in stature she more than made up for with her fast talk, quick wit and her ability to hold her own. Convinced she was prepared to take on the world (or rather her small island of it), her plan was thrown after colliding into senior Scott Pierce just before second period. Popular, attractive, captain of the varsity basketball team, and well versed in life, Scott maneuvers himself into Harper's life with confidence. She is both intimidated and fascinated by her new boyfriend, but yet keenly aware of how others see her relationship. By the time she is a sophomore she learns to abandon her concern for others and personifies herself by Scott. As Harper soon learns, her unconventional romance with Scott will lead to a life of self-consumption and a desire to please Scott at the expense of all others, resulting in a painful experience that threatens to tear them both apart. Heather White Driscoll grew up 30 miles north of Seattle, on the island of Whidbey. There, Heather went to high school in the small town of Coupeville before moving to the east coast and attending the University of Massachusetts - Boston. At UMASS, Heather became intrigued by the American prose and in 2005 earned a dual degree in American Literature & American Studies. She presently lives in Boston with her husband Patrick and their dachshund Marcus, where she writes in between working as an analyst for a financial firm and as a Spin instructor. This is Heather's first novel.
