The shame is when we remain in denial, and don't encourage that person to get the help they need. Her goal is to arouse the awareness to others how this issue is a growing concern, and there are those that want help. The help is not as plentiful as the problem. She hopes this book will open the door of opportunity for those that really want help, and that the government and institutions capable and equipped to render services will recognize the urgency of the peoples needs.
