The only discrepancy between plan and exterior View is that the latter has a more elaborate entrance, the doorway proper more deeply recessed and decorated with wooden col umns within the recess, while a marble porch decorates the opening in the house-wall.In Baltimore and the more Southern cities a Very different plan of house, and one more nearly approaching the suburban type, was usual.
