Living with the physical limitations of cerebral palsy, thirteen-year-old C.J. "Ches" Durham is lonely and directionless, but a visit to his Aunt Sis and their East Texas homeplace changes everything. Miss Sis Durham spends her days fighting tooth and nail to keep her late father's horse auction alive. She provides her nephew with unconditional love and answers some troubling questions about his faith. A kindhearted southern lady, Miss.
