How national is a National Security Strategy?
Angebote / Angebote:
The shaping of National Security is always dependent on the underlying framework conditions, which have a significant bearing on a state's actions. The framework that applies to a state's definition of National Security and its implications on foreign and security policy is determined by its geographic, geostrategic and economic situation, its integration and co-operation with worldwide trading and other industrialized nations and its membership to international and supranational organisations, out of which international obligations arise. The experience gained from the current international history has as well a special influence on the state's security. The aim of this book is to assess the framework conditions that a state's National Security is influenced by. It examines what is needed to define a National Security of a nation and compares the different approaches of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Israel as well as their relationship.
