Owner of Future Tense Books and manager of the small press section at Powell's in Portland, Sampsell shows his love of art through collage and poetry. Having obsessed with collaging since the beginning of 2014, Sampsell has read about, written about, and learned more about the form ever since. Sampsell hosted a monthly event at the IPRC in Portland where people of all types came and made collages (usually 25-40 people every month). He has taught workshops and has displayed several shows of his work (and published many in magazines as well). Featuring the best of the best of his collage work paired with his poetry in this beautiful whimsical and unique collection. A rare and special pairing, there have not been many poetry/collage books published in the small or big press worlds. A unique and beautiful book that will beautify coffee tables and art gallery shelves, bringing smart pop art to the mainstream.
