Six new voices in Nigeria are interviewed about literature in Nigeria today. They are concerned about "dwindling standards of writing in Nigeria", but otherwise have differing perspectives on issues such creative writing and self-publishing, critics and criticisms, the exodus to the diaspora, the craft of writing, thematic preoccupations, general conflicts, social commitment, attitudes in academic, and the place of the writer in the wider society. The six writers interviewed are Dul Johnson, Maik Nwosu, Maria Ajima, Remi Raji, Unoma Azuah, and Moses Tsenongu. Sule E. Egya teaches African Literatures, Creative Writing and Modern Literary Theory in the Department of English at Nasarawa State University. He is an author of poems, short stories, critical essays.
