Special Detective K. C. Hawkins returns to Los Angles from a bounty assignment to discover his main lady, Carla Willingham, tired of waiting, has departed for a cruise to the Bahamas. Hawkins goes after her. Upon arriving at Nassau, he learns that Carla has died at the hands of notorious drug lord, Eddie Gonzalez. Hawkins goes after Gonzalez, but after failing two attempts to capture him-barely getting out with his life each time-the task seems impossible. Hawkins contemplates admitting defeat.
