Knowing Liam Riley

Angebote / Angebote:

Four women, one man. Two love him, one detests him, and the fourth, Joanna, has never met him, but will become mother to his child. Knowing Liam Riley, is not about Liam, it's about the women whose lives he touches. The main protagonist, Joanna's, story weaves parallel to those of Lizzie, Ava and Imogen, and it is their actions that will map out Joanna's future. The story follows Joanna's life from 1958 to 1999. Joanna's early years are a tale of a young girl confused by the way she is abused and exploited. After rape and a subsequent abortion Joanna leaves home and becomes a live-in nanny, eventually falling foul of Royston Farley MP, who climbs uninvited into her bed. Having fought him off, she makes her excuses to his wife and leaves, but Joanna has unwittingly discovered Royston has a secret, that if revealed will ruin his parliamentary career. Royston in fear of a scandal, deposits hush money in Joanna's bank account without her knowledge. She will use it wisely. Siblings Giles and Lizzie Owen, grow up in dysfunctional family, and are friends with both Riley boys. A terrible accident takes Patrick's life, and leaves Giles injured, leaving Lizzie at the hands of Liam Riley. Ava and Imogen Chase, are mother and daughter. Ava, world renowned artist, takes Liam Riley as a lover, unbeknown to Imogen, who has set her sights on Liam from a teenager, and becomes his stalker. Her obsession with Liam, becomes more sinister as time passes. Meanwhile, Joanna has fallen for Marcus Tierney, a gallery owner. Unable to have children they adopt a baby, Adam. Two things will threaten Joanna's marriage and family's happiness - the first is the introduction of a sculptor to Marcus, and the second, Adam's birth mother making contact. As the years pass on, only one thing is certain: every link in the chain leads to Liam Riley.
