Three generations from one remarkable family-a former first lady of Costa Rica, her daughter the ambassador, and her Swiss-educated, pediatrician granddaughter-travel to Kenya to support the work of not-for-profit organization Kenya Relief. They bring along a photographer to document their journey, a young women and relative stranger.
Their shared expedition takes them to places of dire human poverty juxtaposed with the incredible beauty of the natural world, and they see first-hand what changes a singular sense of purpose can achieve. By the end of their time in Africa, the four women discover that their efforts to heal others have brought about an unexpected healing of their own.
All proceeds from Kuponya will be donated to Kenya Relief (kenyarelief.org), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing medical care, education, and housing to Kenya's neediest children and families.
