The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Vita Castellâa, is found dead in a luxurious hotel room in Madrid. Such a compromising situation demands that the possibility of murder gets officially ruled out and the investigations cease, and so, those in the ruling party, which the victim had been a member of, have activated every resource and phoned everyone in the highest spheres that might help them buy some time. Meanwhile, the Chief of Police of the Comunitat Valenciana decides to help the Minister of Interior and the National Police Director, Juan Quesada Montilla, in their mission: distract the authorities. For such a purpose, they leave the case in the hands of two new and peculiar inspectors, sisters Berta and Marta Miralles.
