The Queen longed for a baby, the King wanted a son, who would grow tall and strong and brave, the people wanted an heir to the throne. One day when the Queen was alone in her garden waiting for the King's return, she watched two birds at play. At least, she thought they were at play, till she discovered that one was a very tiny bird and that the bigger one was teasing it.
