Lee and of General Stonewall Jackson and prepared, for very young readers, histories of those great commanders.In performing these tasks, I became interested in the combats and maneuvers of General Lee's chief of cavalry, major-general J. E. B. Stuart, who has been justly called the eyes and ears of Lee.
