Do powerful secret societies exist? Can they conquer love? Why would people be fascinated by and belong to 'secret societies'? In this book horrible male domination is one of the cornerstones of such a secret organization. The more enlightened aspect of it is that it fights to save the world from extinction (pollution). The size of the world's population, it deems, may be partly to blame for green house effects and it suggests reduction of it by drastic means. The book, however, is first of all a love story. A love between a woman who has been in a marriage with a high executive of such an organization (LOLA) and a man she meets, a man who helps her escape the confines of this extremely male-dominant society. This love has its ups and downs and realistically - in a short time period - manages to go through most of the phases, usually associated with both good and bad marriages.
