G 32, 11, etc.) to the plans in the Appendix is explained on p. 19 of the Appendix.Type. The types have been selected for their clearness. Smaller type is used for historical and preliminary paragraphs and (speaking generally) for descriptions of minor importance. From considerations of space the interiors of some museums and churches are likewise described in small type, but an effort has been made to avoid in¿icting on the traveller long paragraphs in small print to be read within poorly-lighted buildings.
