Maria Carrillo, Daughter of California
Angebote / Angebote:
In 1836, Maria Carrillo packed seven oxcarts with seven Spanish trunks, and traveled the Camino Real with nine of her children, traveling from San Diego to Santa Rosa. She would be one of three women to receive a land grant from the Mexican government, on which she built an 8, 800-acre ranch. Dona Maria was an expert rider, mother of 19 children, and a wise and determined woman whose inspiring story gives a glimpse of early California.
