1862. Now that much of the prejudice against Freemasonry has passed, it was decided it was time for Freemasonry to be heard in its own defense and to justify its claims to public regard. It was believed the best manner to do so was by pointing out those of its members whose private characters and public services would be a sufficient refutation of the false charges against the Order. Three of these ideal Masons included Joseph Warren, Sir Christopher Wren, and Thomas Smith Webb. Found within this volume are biographical sketches on these three important men.
