Excerpt from Meredith College Quarterly Bulletin 1927-30It was a happy suggestion made by Miss Porter of the Meredith Faculty that this issue of the Bulletin be devoted to the alumna who have gone as missionaries to foreign fields. Each of the missionaries was requested to write an article concerning her work.Meredith College has sent to foreign fields a total of nine teen of her alumna. A few of these have had to give up the work because of failing health, others are now at home on furlough, and still others have recently volunteered, but the Foreign Mission Board, for lack of funds, has not been able to send them.
