The book is about Samantha Harris, and her friends growing up in Miami. The book starts off in the of year 1987. Her friends, and even neighbors have changed, and crushes are beginning to form. Admitting you are attracted to someone is crazy. Admitting that person is your neighbor is even crazier. When yesterday you didn't even pay much attention to that person's existence, and today you can't stop dreaming about them. You can't imagine admitting to anyone how attracted you are to them. Until everyone is starting to notice it, and you have to admit it. You would normally tell your closest friends, when you like somebody. Not Samantha, she holds it all in, until she ends up bumping into her neighbor, who is also the only guy she has ever thought about. Having to endure a few Q and A sessions with him. She finds herself answering his questions, that are both embarrassing, and intrusive. The answers become even scarier, when the answers become him. When you open yourself up to new experiences, life becomes very intriguing, and totally worth living.
