Excerpt from Minutes of the Seventy-Fourth Annual Session: Of the Alabama Baptist Association, Held With Steep Creek Church, Lowndes Country, Ala Rev. W. B. Crumpton, Corresponding Secretary, etc., representing the various denominational interests, was cordially received and invited to seats with us. Ordered that the Committee on Religious Literature embrace also that of Books and Periodicals, and that the name of J. C. Fonville be added. Committee To Report At Present Session. Report on religious exercises received and adopted. Adjourned till 9 a.m, Saturday. Saturday - Morning Session. 9. a.m. Devotional exercises by Eld. T. E. Morgan. Clerk read minutes of yesterday. Adopted. Clerk read Order of Business. Adopted. Clerk read report of Executive Committee. After discussion by Kolb, Satterwhite, Catts, Rushton, Fonville and Crumpton, it was adopted. Bro. Rushton read report on Foreign Missions. After remarks by Crumpton, Catts and others, the report was adopted. Cash collection for Foreign Missions, $8.00. Adjourned for dinner. Evening Session. 2. p.m. Prayer by Bro. Kierce. Bro. Fonville read report on Documents and State of Religion. After discussion by Fonville, Catts, Crumpton, Morgan, Rushton, and others, it was adopted. Resolved, That this Association take up a collection to pay balance due the evangelist. Cash collection for evangelist$100.75. Resolution by Bro. Rushton that we endorse the movement on foot of establishing the Orphans Home by the Baptists of Alabama, and rally to its support wherever located by the State Convention. Adopted. Bro.
