Death has jury duty, so he's left me in charge of his pets.My name is Cal Thorpe, and after running to Life in some desperate attempt to prevent my becoming a Reaper, things have only gotten worse. While I'm trying to figure out how to come to terms with my abilities, Death has me petsitting his fur babies: two half-Fae dogs named Mischief and Mayhem, and a grimalkin Faerie cat named Shakespeare.When the dogs accidentally get out, I have to venture to Faerie with Shakespeare at my side to retrieve them. Only, the Fae are tricky and now I'm on a quest for the Winter Queen to steal from her rival. Now I have to traverse Faerie kingdoms to save Death's dogs. With an angry human servant to the Fae at my side, and Shakespeare to provide snarky comments, I can already tell this is going to be a problem.As per usual, things go downhill from there.
