He appropriates Heidegger's philosophy of technology, while making an intriguing claim that even though modern technologies influence almost every aspect of our daily existence to the point of reducing it to to their calculative resource-oriented logic, we continue to function with relatively uninformed conceptions of their ontological impact on us. Instrumental account of technology is insufficient. The author emphasizes on the fundamental importance of a continued philosophical reflection on technology, with a call to rethink our regard to it, while offering a theoretical framework of understanding modern technology, adhering to a call to a technological phenomenology.
