Monograph on Genetic Basis of Host Receptor on Foot and Mouth Disease
Angebote / Angebote:
Foot-and-mouth disease is an important economical viral disease of livestock. By virtue of the structural proteins exist on its capsid, virus can attach with the host receptors. Integrins are the major host receptor family genes responsible for viral host tropism in cattle. Monograph deals with the identification of genetic variation exist within integrin host receptor and their role towards susceptibility of Foot-and-mouth disease in cattle. The Research Monograph is developed based on the findings of the completed project on "Molecular characterization and analysis of genetic polymorphism in Integrin alpha beta 6 receptor gene associated with Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) cell tropism in cattle" [SR/WOS-A/LS-437/2012 (G)] which was financially supported by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
