Moonie World contains the first eight Moonie stories. Moonies are moon fairies who have devoted themselves to rescuing children on Earth in all sorts of bother. The genre is described by Mr. Bob as children's fairy tales for adults and involve fun and playful use of language.The stories are illustrated with charcoal drawings throughout the text of the cute and endearing little moon-fairies engaged in various acts of daring rescue, usually involving spacerockets.Moonie World and subsequent Moonie story collections are written in a style whereby the story-teller and his trusty assistant conduct live, interactive broadcasts of exciting and sometimes scary Moonie Mission events.This style translates extremely well to the live reading setting, and is improved even more with the use of percussive accompaniment, like a tambourine or even better, a melodica.
