A beautifully written tale of a mother explaining to her child where the child's father has gone having passed away.Written for a Muslim child who has encountered such a loss.Muslims believe if you have lived a life filled with good deeds these deeds enable you a forever home in heaven.The story tells of how the parent has gone to Jannah (Heaven) and is preparing their house, with Allah's help, for the child to eventually come and join them. The idea is that Jannah is not ready to receive the child yet as there is more to be done by the parent to prepare the house in Jannah and there are ways the child can help through their day to day life.Character child in book hasn't been assigned a gender, open to both boys and girls.Each page includes a charming watercolor illustration.Written in warm, rhyming couplets that children will find easier to listen to. A pair on each page.There will be a book added to this series called "My Mama's House".This is Amani's first publication and is a poem dedicated to her son's close friend, who sadly lost his father. The hope is that this book will go on to be a comfort for other children who have also experienced the great loss of a parent. Amani aspires to continue creating books that will address significant issues that impact children's lives, that have been overlooked by the Islamic literary world so far. This book is much needed and hugely topical given the pandemic that has swept globally with many young families having been unexpectedly affected.
