Excerpt from National Education: A Sermon Preached the Cathedral Church of Chichester, Thursday, the 31st May, 1838, in Behalf of the Chichester Central SchoolsThe objects to the attainment of which these local boards may, if they think fit, immediately address themselves, will be (1) To take steps for bringing all Church of England Schools, within the district, into connexion with the Board, and for their periodical visitation. (2) To establish at least one good commercial school in a suitable situation.
