While raising two young boys Sandra saw that there were situations that presented obstacles to overcome, obstacles that could be overcome by having confidence and self-esteem. She wanted to show her boys how to "step outside the box" and try something new despite having the 'fear' that comes with trying something new. The main character has the power to overcome issues, both minor and major, by creating imaginary 'ninjas' to provide a sense of back-up when the going gets a little tough.
