While Skydiving, Wing-suiting to be exact, my parachute opened "hard, " breaking my neck and paralyzing me from the neck down. I could not move, and I suddenly knew that I was going to die. The first time was during an enforcement operation while I was a Detective working undercover assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
