The next title in a new series of short nonfiction books modeled after 18th century political pamphlets-compare with Penguin's Great Idea series, but instead of reprints, these are original essays by contemporary writers and thinkers about contemporary issues.
Genre interest: Dundas is particularly concerned with the role of narrative and storytelling in our representations of and understanding of social class and deals head-on with questions of voice
Editorial comps include Heartland by Sarah Smarsh, Stephanie Land's Maid, and JD Vance's Hillbilly Elegy
Dundas has worked as a television producer for Canada's CTV and TVO is an editor for the Toronto Star. Her work has appeared across Canada and the UK, including such publications as Maclean's, Globe and Mail, and the Sunday Independent. She is working on an MFA in creative nonfiction and says she feels as if she's finally made it, but isn't quite sure what that means.
