Excerpt from Organic Seminar Abstracts: 1936-37Karrer, by synthesis of four of the six remaining stereo isomers, as well as some twenty - five similarly constituted flavines, was unable to obtain any other compound showing vitamin activity. Apparently, due to steric hindrance, no structural isomers of lacto-flavine with the methyl groups in any but the -positions could be obtained.
