It was the spring of 1869 in the old West and Carson City, Nevada was busy with all of its card games, whiskey drinking, shootouts in the streets, outlaws, drifters and brothels. With the local sheriff and his deputy temporarily out of town, Marshal Creek is the only authority in town. He is soon faced with a career ending move when he becomes involved in a fight against a local cattle rancher suspected of land grabbing by means of murder and burning folks out.
A whole cast of interesting people arrive in town on the morning stage, including the new owners of the town's brothel. When the marshal is designated to be a tour guide for a Supreme Court Justice's wife and then the relationship turns romantic, this spells more trouble for Marshal Creek than he can handle.
