Paraphrase Lost? - Paraphrase Regained is an anthology of biblically inspired poetry written in a variety of poetic forms with both serious and light-hearted aspects. For those who are interested in biblical study the author's reading of selected verses from Genesis to the final Revelation in the majority of the poems are mirrored by meditations or relevant thoughts as a result of his personal experiences and travel. At the foot of each page are relevant biblical references attributed to the poem or reflection and the book concludes with a complete index with which the reader can easily trace appropriate further material for verses in the Bible. Some poems are written in hymn form and could be set to music for use at Easter and Christmastime or incorporated in annual Carol Services. The author has tried to avoid outmoded words and phrases but, within a poetic form, adhere closely to biblical text and Christ's spoken word.
