Plural Globalities in Multiple Localities: New World Borders brings together various papers from the Society for Economic Anthropology's 1997 annual meeting. Structured around the theme, "Globalization and Regionalization, " the meeting investigated the way this phenomenon has influenced the restructuring and reconfiguration of businesses, states, cities and social life since the 1980's. The Society for Economic Anthropology brought a local or micro perspective to the study of globalization that has been dominated by macro approaches.
