These days the boundaries between nature and culture, man and machine, object and subject are dissolving more and more: in this era of entanglement, in which things themselves are increasingly thinking, learning, predicting, and guiding each of our actions, are we not becoming the apparatus of apparatuses we once designed ourselves? Through praxis-based design research, the authors analyze the balance of power in this "politics of things, " using thought experiments to reverse, shift, and challenge the routines of their everyday lives. The scientists thus become their own objects of research, at the same time, this allows them to develop critical perspectives on the politics of people and things in times of an ontological crisis.
