"A weed, " said the other, "there are many such in the garden." But the first went to the spot, and sat long examining it leaf by leaf. "It is very strange, " he said. "I find wonderful things here, and as I look more and more closely faint shining lines stretch out from the leaves, and radiant pictures move. Further and further they reach, and seem to lead towards that Presence that we ever seek. Before this frayed and dusty flower I tremble as at some new marvel." The second Genius laughed. And Azreel laughed at times, laughed even in his yearnings - yearnings to accomplish, to sound his own soul in all its reaches, to reach to the Soul of the world.
