Present study entitled, "Problems of farm women in farm activities" was undertaken during 2014-15 with the objectives to see the problems of farm women.
For 45-45 respondents were selected from six villages of two blocks randomly. A total number of 270 respondents were selected. Out of total respondents 45.9 per cent belonged to 35 to 50 years age group, 28.9 per cent of respondents were educated up to high school.
It was also found that majority of respondents 47.4 belonged to OBC caste followed by 73.3 per cent respondents belonged to Hindu religion, whereas the main occupation of respondents was mainly as agriculture.
Analysis of data related to type of family, revealed that majority of the respondents 64.4 per cent were belonged to nuclear family. Regarding land holding, maximum of respondents 49.6 per cent were Small farmers. It was also observed that annual income of respondents was up to Rs. 1.5 lac.
After studying women have faced many problems higher numbers of women have faced seasonal problems, 80.0 per cent of women faced headache problem in summer season, 65.2 per cent bacterial infection in rainy season and 78.9 per cent common cold in winter season.
78.5 per cent women found health hazards by fertilizers. Some women have instant allergic reaction with 1.75 mean score. Thresher create problem many a time with 2.47 mean score. Women were faced back pain with 1.76 mean score. Women were faced allergy with 1.67 mean score. And respondents injured by improper uses of farm machinery with 1.44 mean score value.
