R., Vol IV, pp. 65 There was no opportunity to study that case in the same manner as this, but the gentle man, a judge in one of the State courts, who investigated it, was convinced that, in spite of external appearances, it was not a conscious fraud. The evidence undoubtedly pointed to his apologetic verdict.
