He then began a long career in education and study of Pueblo Indian history, and today is he probably the pre-eminent historian in his field in the nation. Even while following a very demanding career path, Sando found time for family life with his wife Louisa and three children????????????as well as his large extended family at Jemez Pueblo. He concludes this book honoring his family by presenting their complete genealogy. Using colorful anecdotes throughout the book, Sando presents his story with clarity, insight, honesty and humor.
