For me, as a product of this generation, as I have sought to make an orderly account of the history of this church and these people, there have been heartbreaking searchings for pictures and for facts that have seemed so near yet have led me on elusive trails, always promising some tidbit of information yet keeping always just out of reach. Then there have been hours of reading in the most unlikely placed only to find exactly what I had been looking for and more. In this project, I have certainly had my mountaintop experiences, but there have also been the valley experiences that have driven me to prayer and fasting.
