First off, for those who wondered, we had set this hearing last week, and I know the Secretary and a number of other witnesses were prepared to testify. On Monday of last week, we had inclement weather here in the Washington area. It took me 11 hours to ¿y from Burlington, Vermont, to Washington, DC, I can drive it in 10.We went into an Appropriations Committee conference at pm. Monday night on the foreign aid bill, which ended at about am. Or so the next morning. We thought it was going to last until probably noon the next day. As a result, I had to cancel this hearing. As it turned out, we were done with the important stuff by am. In the morning and everybody was out of there by am.
