Rolf Harris, born in Bassendean, Perth, Western Australia, on 30th March 1930, is an entertainer who's worked as a musician, singer-songwriter, composer, comedian, actor, painter, presenter, broadcaster & TV personality. Rolf has often used unusual musical instruments in his performances, having played the didgeridoo and the stylophone, being the inventor of the wobble board. Harris was convicted of the sexual assault of 4 underage girls during 2014, ending his career. Rolf began his career in TV, music & art in the '50s, issuing several songs including Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport, a Top 10 hit in Australia, the UK, and the US, Jake the Peg & Two Little Boys, which topped the British charts. Harris became a TV personality in the UK in the '60s - '70s, later presenting shows including Rolf's Cartoon Club and Animal Hospital. He hosted the short educational film Kids Can Say No! during 1985 that warned kids aged 5-8 how to avoid situations in which they might be sexually abused, how to escape such situations & how to get help if they were abused. Harris painted an official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II during 2005. He lived in Bray, Berkshire, England, UK for over 6 decades. Following the allegations of sexual abuse by Jimmy Savile in late 2012, Rolf was arrested as part of the Operation Yewtree police investigation, being questioned during May 2013 following historical allegations of sexual offences. Harris denied any wrongdoing, being bailed without charge. He was rearrested that August by Operation Yewtree officers, being charged with 9 counts of indecent assault dating back to the '80s, involving 2 girls aged 14 - 16, and four counts alleging production of indecent images of children during 2012.
