Excerpt from Saint George, 1902, Vol. 5In the third volume of For: (letter XXVI) Mr. Ruskin gives some account of the history of St. George, who was born in Cappadocia in the third century and was put to death on the 23rd April, a.d., 290. Emerson's account of St. George is wholly erroneous and refers to another personage.
