Excerpt from School Law for Training Classes Term. - 3 years. Term begins. - April 7. How and when elected. - By joint ballot of the senate and assembly on the second Wednesday of February next preceding the expiration of the term of the then incumbent. Salary. - $5, 000. Shall annually report to the legislature (a) the condition of the common schools of the State, (b) apportionment of school moneys made by him, (c) plans for the improvements of the schools and the advancement of public instruction in the State. 5. Shall grant under his hand and seal of office certificates of qualifications to teach, and may revoke the same.
