When Constable Pßll Gylfason gets a call to a suspected homicide in a remote farmstead, he is surprised to find Detective Magnus Jonson already at the scene. Magnus identifies the dead man as his estranged grandfather, at whose hands Magnus and his brother endured brutal violence. As Pßll investigates, it appears that forensic evidence has been tampered with and that Magnus' version of events doesn't add up, so Magnus is arrested. When younger brother, Oli, turns up in Iceland after two decades, Pßll begins to think that Magnus may not be the only one in the frame for murder...
