This is the second volume of Phil Cosker's comic trilogy. These satirical novels are set in an England that we all recognise but that has still to resolve many of today's little problems' such as the monarchy, the state, the government and a complete lack of personal freedom (just to mention a few). At the start of Sedan -- the part one Phil wrote: This story is about the people of England, in the future, after the big war' that no one won, and after the slump. The fossil fuels had run out. But people still had to get about. Money had to be made. (After all capitalism wasn't something that was ever going to go away.) Life went on. So, here we are again, still in England -- battles have been fought and progress (well a bit) has been made, but there's still a way to go. Una's nearly been killed in Lindum, but has been rescued by her heroic Sods, the Bloomers and the Oldsters, the powers of the state are on the run (well, some of them) and times they are a-changing. As Una said at the end of the part one, La Lotta Continua -- Phil promised that "Sedan: The Part Two" would not be subject to any form of censorship. He has kept his word, but he feels that some parts of the novel may not be suitable for persons of a nervous disposition. Phil hopes that his readers will get as much pleasure from this second volume as they say they did from the first that was published in the summer of 2004.
