Silent Witness: A Sam Kincaid Mystery

Angebote / Angebote:

The armored car robbery went terribly awry, two people are dead, including one of the gang believed responsible for the crime. Now 45-year-old Walter Bradshaw, leader of an arch-conservative, anti-government group of Mormon polygamists once part of Warren Jeffs' Funda-mentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery. Bradshaw is being held in the Utah State Prison as a parole violator, pending trial for the armored car fiasco. The rest of the Bradshaw gang remains at large. Then, two days before Bradshaw's preliminary hearing, witness Arnold Ginsberg is found stabbed and bludgeoned to death in a downtown Salt Lake City parking garage. On the same evening, the second witness-24-year-old University of Utah student Robin Joiner-narrowly escapes being kidnapped as she walks across campus. Frightened, Joiner immediately goes into hiding. The case draws Sam Kincaid and Kate McConnell together again, this time pitting their collective skills against a ruthless gang bent on eliminating the only remaining witness. But first, where is Robin Joiner? Michael Norman lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife Diane, and their pit bull, Joyce. He grew up in Seattle and graduated from Western Washington University. Norman is a former police officer, state parole board member, and most recently, a professor of criminal justice at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Silent Witness is Norman's second novel, following The Commission, one of Publishers Weekly's Best Books of 2007. www.michaelnormanauthor.com
