Excerpt from Speech of Mr. A. E. Kemp, M. P., On Provincial Government in the Northwest: Ottawa, Wednesday, April 26, 1905I think. Sir. Those words will sink deeper into the hearts and minds of hon. Gentle men opposite. Than the words that fell from i the lips of the hon, member for North Ou tario (mr. Grant). I notice in a cabled press despatch to-day the opinion of another authority, an eminent Canadian states man who has been translated to the Senate. That place which in late years have become a haven of rest for de feated Liberal candidates and for political nonentities with long purses. I notice by a telegram to the Canadian Associated Press that Senator Fulford has been putting forth some views in England with regard to this question. I do not suppose that gentle man could possibly have received a copy of the 'globe' in which appeared the edi torial of the l0th of April, which I have just read, otherwise he would not have written the letter he did to the London 'morning Chronicle.' I do not think that gentleman has ever been in very close touch 1 with the masses of the people of this coun try. Or with the electorate, and I think he would have done well to wait a little while until he became better acquainted with this question before he undertook to pose as a Canadian authority before the Eng ilsil people.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
